About Our Sanctuary

Since June 13th, 2013 Carol’s has provided a safe and loving environment for all dogs who have been abandoned, abused or neglected. We are a no kill shelter located in Sayville, NY. We are dedicated to providing quality care for all animals while we help them find their forever homes. We believe that every dog deserves a second chance at life, and we try our best to help any dog in need no matter what state, city, or country they’re in. We accept all dogs in need no matter their age, temperament, or health condition. We provide their days filled with love, comfort, compassion, and enrichment.    

We will never say no to helping any animal in need depending on our space and funds at the time, but the seniors, bonded pairs and disabled pets will always be our passion. Many of the senior pups that come to Carol’s have chronic illnesses and require specialized care to ensure that they can live their lives longer than anyone would ever expect. We will always be with them for the rest of their lives and provide all necessary care. In some cases, they may only have a day, a week, or a few months but we will always try anything medically possible to keep them going for as long as we can. More often than not, many of these old pups thrive at our sanctuary and live not only for months, but years! All our rescues know they will be loved forever and that we will always be there for them whether they are adopted to a loving family or live out their lives with us. We stand behind every pup in our care for life.
